Mid-Week Motivation: I’m Hopeful

Well, it’s been a tough few days. For me personally, filled with various emotions. I’ve been sad, angry, confused, distracted but at the same time HOPEful. That’s weird right? The death of loved ones, the pandemic and protests combined with political and social media reactions and responses have been a lot to bear. Hearts, minds and Spirits are extremely heavy. But, still I am HOPEful!

My 2020 spiritual theme was “Faith It Until You Make It”. Now, I understand why. I can’t comprehend all that is going on in the world. However, the Bible speaks to all of what we are witnessing and I shouldn’t be surprised. But, living through this as human (in the flesh) can make us weary and doubtful. It can cause us to cry out to God in anger or distress. The good thing is that you can cry out to Him in either case and He listens because He cares. That’s why I’m still HOPEful.

I know that God is very much aware of what’s going on. God is still in control and He will see us through. He said that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He said they Jesus came to save and to set the captives (those oppressed) free. Nothing about God has changed. He never lies and He always comes through. Again, that’s why I’m HOPEful!
